Initially, botany Bay was named Stingray Harbour (not "Bay"). The name was changed in the same year Cook discovered it - 1770. His ship's log from May 1770 recorded the name "Stingray Harbour", but when he transcribed his logs into his journal shortly afterwards, he changed the name to Botany Bay.

Which year? Which options?
The first Chevrolet Corvette was manufactured between the years of 1953 and 1962. They then changed to name of the vehicle to Sting Ray from 1963 to 1967. The name again changed to Stingray during the years of 1969 to 1976. From 1977 and on the name changed back to the Corvette as we know it.
The Stingray name was droped for the production year 1977 and never returned. I have a 19977 Corvette born October 1976 and has Stingray on the Body Pannel's. I have tried to find out if this is correct and have been unable to.
