Walter Koenig didn't appear in Star Trek until the second season, but in the movie "STII: The Wrath of Kahn", Ricardo Montelbahn identified Chekov as someone he could never forget a face. The prologue to this movie was in season one in the episode "Space Seed". Walter was never an officer at this time and he reported that he was 17 in the episode "Who Mourns For Adonais?" It's not possible that Chekov was even allowed near the command crew at the age of 16, let alone be even a yeoman... to say nothing about assigning him to a security station on the command bridge of Starfleet's flagship at age 17.
At least in TNG with Wesley Crusher, they had the audacity to voice their concerns when a 17 year old impulsively reacts and touches a control on the captains console. He promptly got kicked out but had to work his butt off to become an bridge ensign a few seasons later.
at the end of the movie camp star won but then they decided to join camp rock so lets see what happens from there on

Jeff Hunter's career decisions were made by his wife who turned down his chance at the second pilot, and he was replaced by the Canadian actor William Shatner. Majel Barett, wife of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry was bumped as the unemotional "Number One" by Spock, but she returned as Nurse Chapel who was in love with Spock, and as the voice of the Enterprise computer. As Yeoman Rand, actress Grace Lee Whitney dropped out after eleven episodes under the official story that she was pregnant. Really, she had become an alcoholic nymphomaniac, and it took many years to clean herself up. Walter Koenig did not join the Star Trek cast until the second season because Roddenberry wanted a long-haired Davey Jones type to increase younger viewership. It was originally intended that he be British, but Russia complained that they were not represented in the multi-national Star Trek crew, so Koenig's character became Ensign Chekov. George Takei missed a few episodes of the first season while filming the movie The Green Berets with John Wayne. Kirk's tombstone in the second pilot reads James R. Kirk. Sybok first appeared in Star Trek 5: The Final Frontier. He identified himself as Spock's half-brother. Sybok is a very emotional Vulcan who seems to have the ability to control the emotions of others to enlist them to join his quest. His quest was to find the legendary "Garden of Eden" known as "Shakari" in the centre of the galaxy. It is said that the one true god resides there and only Sybok believes it to exist.
