i also wanted to know the answer to this question!! Here is what i found out from Wikipedia;

have commenced airing the episodes as of January 8, 2008. In the UK, popular magazine Heat reported Channel4 have put the premiere date back to as late as March 2008, by far the latest premiere date for the show in the UK. However, due to the fact that episodes 11-23 need to be filmed and shown in the USA, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia before it arrives in the UK, it is looking likely that Season Four will be moved back even further still, so now it is looking like the debut could be the last week of April or even May which will mean there will only be up to a maximum of 12 weeks before the UK debut of Season Five, once Season Four has ended between the dates of Late-August and Mid September The final13 episodes of season four will air from February 2008...

Because E4 have started repeating Season Three now on a daily basis, as of Janurary 29th 2008 (which they have been doing on and off with Seasons One and Two since early September 2007), it is seeming increasingly likely that when the re-runs end on Feburary 28th that Season Four of Desperate Housewives will be making its debut on British Television on March 6th at 10.00pm, and if the strike remains unresolved, Desperate Housewives will be ceasing season Four in the UK on May 8th which is the earliest time ever an American TV import will air its season finale in Britain (except Lost which will finish a couple of weeks before)' The URL - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desperate_Housewives_Season_4 THE NEW SERIES WILL EBGIN MARCH 26TH 10PM ON E4 !!!!!!!!
