This film will come out on November 2, 2010 in standard DVD edition, a Blu Ray version, and a four disc Blu-Ray combo pack featuring a DVD and a digital copy of the film. The DVD and Blu Ray will also reveal a teaser trailer of the next Pixar movie, Cars 2: World Grand Prix, in theaters June 24, 2011 in RealD 3D and IMAX 3D.
The cover of the DVD will have the toys standing in front of the cardboard box in the day care. The toys that will appear on the cover are apparently Woody and Buzz, and also Jessie, Rex, the Potato Heads, Ken, Barbie, Slinky, Bulls-eye, the aliens from Pizza Planet, Hamm, Lotts-O-Huggin-Bear, and some purple octopus. The bottom of the DVD will say, "#1 Animated Movie of the Year", due to revenues of $410 million domestically and over $1 billion worldwide.
The back cover is blue, and will also feature Buzz floating, and also has pictures with Andy holding Buzz and Woody, Woody meeting Bonnie's toys, and Lotts-O-Hugging-Bear introducing Andy's lovable toys around the day care. There will be a three paragraph summary of the film, and the credits.
The Blu Ray cover is similar, only the cover is a black background with the toys holding the Toy Story 3 logo. The backside is also black, and will also feature Buzz flying, along with the same pictures, the summary of the film, and the credits.
Finally, the Blu-Ray combo pack is the same as the DVD cover, only outlined with a dandelion coloring. The back cover is also very similar to the DVD's.
Wonder what the four discs of the combo pack are? We'll find out:
Disc 1- Blu Ray version of the DVD.
Disc 2- Behind the Scenes footage.
Disc 3- The DVD Version
Disc 4- Digital Copy.
It was also recently announced that a 10 disc box set with all of the Toy Story movies will be released on the same day as the Toy Story 3 film.
