They all do, if you just wait long enough. (You never have to wait longer than 29.5 days,
because all of the phases repeat with that period.)
The phase that immediately follows hard upon the waxing gibous is the Full Moon.
The Moon is in the "waxing gibbous" phase now; it started yesterday, on November 24, 2009, and it will continue for three more days or so.
"Waxing", in reference to the Moon, means that the illuminated part is getting larger, while "waning" means that the illuminated part is decreasing.
"Gibbous" means that the Moon is more than half[lit, but not quite full, So the "Waxing Gibbous" phase is between the first quarter moon and the New moon.
correct me if i am wrong but it is the first quoter
The moon phase that comes after the Waning Gibbous is the Third Quarter. At this phase, you can see half of the moon's lightened side.
The third quarter moon or the half moon.
First Quarter, then waxing gibbous.
Between about 1 AM and 3 AM local time.
The new moon is next in the cycle.
Waxing gibbous
After the first quarter, the sunlit portion is still increasing, but now it is more than half, so it is waxing gibbous. After the full moon (maximum illumination), the light continually decreases. So the waning gibbous phase occurs next.
Approximately two to three.... and they depend on the theoretical "starting point" phase. It takes about two weeks for the moon to go from "new" to "full". So, in one week the moon could go from "first quarter" to "waxing gibbous" to "full"
When the visible bright part of the Moon is increasing in size, the term "waxing" is used. When the visible part of the Moon is less and less illuminated each night, the term "waning" applies.

Waxing gibbous.
Waxing, as opposed to waning, is when the moon is getting bigger, going towards full. Gibbous is the phase when it's between half and full. So waxing gibbous is when it's nearly full.
Waning Crescent.
A few days after the new moon phase, the Moon willbe visible again in a phase called The waxing gibbous moon.
It is a point in the waxing gibbous phase and can also a point in the waning gibbous phase, but not in the first quarter.
