The Disney film entitled ( Bambi) one of the first serious Cartoons and also full-length was finally released by Disney in l942. Despite being filmed during the War, it has a strong anti-hunting and by extension, anti-violence message. it is arguably the strongest anti-hunting stuff ever attempted but ignores an important fact. In the film the gunning-down of Bambi"s mother occurs in the Spring. In most parts of the United States, Hunting season in in the Autumn months! artistic license, indeed, and also implies the hunters were illegal poachers. One of MANY cartoons and films showing Nimrods in an essentially negatory light.
