Earth. Yes, everywhere on earth.
Its 183 days
In the United States, the vernal equinox, which signifies the start of astronomical spring in the northern hemisphere, actually happens on March 19, 20, or 21 each year. We haven’t had a March 19 equinox since 1896, and we won’t have a March 21 equinox until 2101.I say it marks the beginning of astronomical spring because meteorological spring (based on weather patterns) starts March 1.Astronomical spring is a little harder to explain. The Earth’s axis is always tilted at about 23 degrees, meaning that depending on where it is in its orbit, one hemisphere or the other is closer to the sun. The equinoxes (the vernal equinox in March and the autumnal equinox in September) mark the points in the orbit where neither hemisphere is tilted toward nor away from the sun, meaning day and night are nearly equal.
The competition "Shockwave on the Shoreline" began in March, 2010 and ended in June, 2010.
the story in going on in our time. it premiered in 2009 so the story is taking place in 2009 and heads into 2010 but there are flashbacks from 1864.
On March 20 for the Northern Hemisphere (this is the autumnal equinox in the Southern Hemisphere). The vernal equinox for the Southern Hemisphere will be either September 22 or 23.
It is called an equinox. In the spring it is known as the Vernal Equinox while in the autumn it is known as the Autumnal Equinox. Both take place around the 21st of March/September, but the date varies slightly each year.
Lent is the liturgical season immediately preceding Easter. When it begins and ends has to do with the date of Easter which, in the Western Church, falls on the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the vernal equinox. Strictly speaking, if Easter is late (the latest it can fall is April 25), most of that year's lent will take place after the vernal equinox, i.e., in spring.

The tropical year (from vernal equinox to vernal equinox) is approx 365.2422 days or 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, 46 secondsThe sidereal year (to complete an orbit back to where the earth started) is approx 365.2564 days or 365 days, 6 hours, 9 minutes, 13 secondsOur calendar is based on the tropical year so that the seasons stay in the same place.365 days, 5 hours, 46 min, & 48 sec.A complete orbit of the Earth around the Sun occurs every 365.256363004.A year
June and December. Specifically, the summer equinox is on June 21 (sometimes June 20) and the winter equinox on December 21 (sometimes December 22).
