Nope. But i wish that there was.

Durr, i don't know when its coming out but people say its airing i Japan and season two has been set with 26 episodes again, they have ALSO said its airing on April 2010 and guess what its already freakin July so i think not, just keep watch it might air in 2011 ^_^ they need to make the series then translate it and get it here, so everythings gonna take a while, it'll be here soon unless there just NOT making a season two like vampire knight, because there cheap as$'s so yea.

No, but honestly they couldn't anyways. In the anime, they changed it up too much, and with Akito dying young, well that isn't true, and in the anime Akito's biologically a man, but really in the manga she's biologically a woman, and in the end Akito ends up with Shigure, and that wouldn't be able to happen in the anime. Also, some of the people who voiced as the characters already retired.

And also, you can't expect one anytime soon, since Fruits Basket was an anime made several years ago.

:(

Yea... I think it was made like 9 years ago.. so there is probably not a chance of a season 2.

There will not be more episodes.

Fruits Basket was made several years ago and some of the people who voiced the characters retired already.

But, if you haven't read the manga yet, you should because it is a lot better than the anime and it has a really good ending!

Also to add, if you didn't know already, Natsuki Takaya (author of manga) didn't like what they did with the anime. she didn't like how they changed it up so much, and she has the right to get angry! For it IS her story, so she wouldn't have even allowed a second season.

There won't be. Fruits Basket was made several years ago, and some of the voice actors have retired already, so it wouldn't really be possible unless they totally changed some of the voice actors, which would ruin it.

Also, its sort of impossible for them to make a second season without messing it up too much.

There won't be one, end of story. No petitions are gonna work either.

Though I suggest read the manga if you haven't. its a million times better, totally better than the anime, and it has an amazing ending, and I found it a lot funnier too ^_^ The anime stops at volume 6 and there's 23 volumes

No there isn't. It ended a long time ago and they're not making a second season.

There's a manga if you want to know what happens next.

No, there is only season one.

Is there a season 2 of fruits basket in the manga?

Yes, the original Fruits Basket manga series by Natsuki Takaya has been completed. It consists of 23 volumes, with the story continuing from where the first season of the anime left off. The second season of the Fruits Basket anime adapts more of the manga's story beyond the first season.

Is there going to be a 'Fruits Basket II'?

As of now, there is no season II of Fruits Basket. There are several reasons: First off, all of the previous voice actors from the first season are retired, and it would be difficult to persuade them after all these years to them to do a second season. Second of all, there's a bit of a disagreement between Takaya, the creator of the series, and the guy who directed of the first season. It's seems that they don't get along for some reason. But the thing is, the studio that produced fruits basket likes that director... And of course money is another issue. There is currently a petition out on the web somewhere urging for a second season. Hopeful fans can go sign it. ^^ You're right. Takaya would love to make another Fruits Basket. Everything you said was right. I really wanted another Furuba... but Takaya did what she could~! and we should just accept what we're given. ^_^- KeikoUchiha101

Why wont there be a second season of fruits basket?

Because the manga-ka already covered the story and the ending doesn't make it look like a 2nd season of them still in their younger age.

Where is the petittion for fruits basket 2?

I don't know, but there will never be a Fruits Basket 2, because Natsuki Takaya was mad how they ruined her manga with the first season, and she would say no, so they would not do it.
