As of October 2023, most of the main cast members of "Bonanza," which aired from 1959 to 1973, have passed away. Lorne Greene, who played Ben Cartwright, died in 1987, while Michael Landon (Joe Cartwright) and Dan Blocker (Hoss Cartwright) passed away in 1991 and 1972, respectively. David Canary (Adam Cartwright) died in 2015, and Pernell Roberts (Adam Cartwright) passed away in 2010. Although the original cast is no longer alive, their performances continue to be celebrated in television history.
