Where is the Hogwarts set?

When Harry is at his Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon's house, the story takes place in Surrey, U.K. Diagon Alley which is where Harry and the other characters shop for school supplies takes place in London, U.K. However for the majority of the series, Harry is in Hogwarts which is in Scotland.

The movies were filmed in lots of different locations such as London Zoo's Reptile House, King's Cross Station and Alnwick Castle but a large amount was filmed at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, Aerodrome Way, Watford, Hertfordshire WD25 7LS which is now know as "Harry Potter Studios" and you can go on the tour there.
