Laverne and Shirley were bottle cappers at Shotz Brewery for the majority of the series (for the first five seasons, which took place in Milwaukee, and tend to be the most well-known). The girls had other occasional odd jobs throughout the course of the series, including taxi dancers (episode: 'Call me a Taxi'), research subjects (episode: 'Guinea Pigs'), and waitresses at Laverne's dad's establishment, the Pizza Bowl (assorted episodes), among others. In later episodes (during the seasons that took place in Burbank, California), the girls were gift-wrappers at the department store Bardwell's.
