Umm that is not totally wrong. Ron Howard was the kid from "Mayberry RFD" and "The Andy Griffith Show" and lets not forget "Happy Days" as well as limited appearances on "Laverne & Shirley" however he had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" (the TV Show- More about that in a minute) . The role of Eddie (who's father was apparently courting the Japanese housekeeper, Mrs. Livingston (yeah right, right?) was played by Brandon Cruz. Chin up though, even though your answer was way out in left field, it seems you caught the fly ball from the bleachers as Ron Howard did grow up to be an award winning Director. Better still, almost as if the fly ball came with an autograph already on it, he was indeed responsible for "A Beautiful Mind" and "The Grinch" horror film. If Mr. Howard is reading this, I'm sure he is face planting over the fact that you remembered Grinch over ... say "Frost/Nixon", "Night Shift", "Splash", or "Apollo 13", "Ransom" or even "The Da Vinci Code" for crying out loud but hey at least you didn't mention "Grand Theft Auto". As I said he can't be credited with any part of the television series however oddly enough, in 1963 he had a starring role in the movie by the same name "Courtship of Eddies Father" which came as news to me as I sit here asking myself "WHY?" but it grossed $39 million at the box office so someone somewhere saw it. They probably don't remember seeing it, but why split hairs. We should leave it at that. With Ron Howard's abundance of directing talent, the same can't be said for his supply of new follicles so splitting even one might be noticeable.
