Was Leslie howard ever married?

User Avatar
Yes, he married Ruth Martin in 1916, and remained married to her until his death in 1943. He had a torrid affair with Merle Oberon during the filming of The Scarlet Pimpernel (1934). Ruth was rumored to be on her way to Reno for the divorce, but studio pressure may have intervened. He was later in love with Violette Cunnington, production assistant on Pygmalion (1938). She died tragically, in 1942, of cerebral meningitis, at the age of 32. At that time, he kept two domiciles: one near Pinewood Studios with Violette, and an estate where he spent the weekends with Ruth and the children. He did not have an affair with Tallulah Bankhead. She was not his type, according to his sister when being interviewed.

User Avatar
The baseball player Ron Blomberg has had his name misspelled (Bloomberg) many times. If you see a Ron Bloomberg in a baseball story it would be safe to say that the name is misspelled and the person referred to is really Ron Blomberg. There is a Ron Bloomberg that was a TV writer from the 1970s to the 1990s. This Ron Bloomberg is not the Ron Blomberg that played for the Yankees.
