The Socs were a group of men coming from the nice part of town with a lot of money, good grades, and really hot girlfriends. The members most mentioned in the book were Bob, Randy, and Cherry. As you might have read, Johnny (Greaser) killed Bob in self-defense of Ponyboy and then Cherry (Soc) wasn't happy at all because she was dating Bob. Then, Dally gave Johnny a heater (Gun), some cash ($50 I think but that was a lot back then...) and directions to some place where it would be safe for them to hide. Dally told the police that Johnny and Ponyboy were headed for Texas. When Pony and Johnny get to the place they were going to stay, Dally came to visit secretly and in the Church, they had some Cigarettes and they blew up the church and it went into flames. There were some families that were near the church having a picnic or something an their kids went into the church before the fire so Pony and Johnny went in to save the children. Pony got out and passed out from the smoke but Johnny got struck by a piece of burning wood across his back. Later in the hospital, Johnny died. Then, a few hours later, the cops shot Dally... the end. Hope this helps!
