Remove the outer primary cover and at the primary sprocket on the crankshaft you will see a smooth metal "bowl" facing away from you, that is your ROTOR your STATOR is on the inside of the ROTOR. you will have to remove the primary chain to access it. I have done a couple of these but if you don't have the tools and a modicum of mech ability you may just want to have it done by the MO-CO or a local reputable independent garage. DO NOT clamp primary chain to inner cover to stop motor from turning ..you will break your inner primary. this is the short sweet version look at your manual to see ALL the details...good luck!
