Today's adolescents are influenced in ways that no other generation has ever seen. The internet is the primary difference in today's adolescents as compared with previous generations. And along with the Internet come additional dangers. Before (and now), adolescents had to be aware of strangers on the street. Now, thanks to the openly available information exchange through the Internet, adolescents must be careful of strangers everywhere! Furthermore, adolescents have increased exposure to readily available harmful materials that can be found on the Internet.

How old is hoke in Driving Miss daisy?

At the beginning of the play/film, Hoke is about 60 years old. As the play covers a timespan of 25 years (1948-1973), Hoke is 85 at the end.

What would 1000 pounds in Victorian times be worth today?

The Victorian period ran from 1837-1901, and there was some inflation over that timespan. For a middle figure multiply by 85 to get the modern figure in purchasing power. Note that houses and real estate have increased by vastly more, however.

Conclude from 17th century to 19th century?

If you tell me what you want concluded may be it will get answered Such a timespan of (it could be argued) some of the most important events in history would lead to a vast answer Try to be more specific in the question eg 'Conclude living standards in England from the 17th century to the 19th century'

Guns in the 1800s?

That is a very broad timespan, especially for firearms. The 1800s opened with muzzleloading flintlock firearms, and closed with fully automatic cartridge firearms. However, if you would like a peek at some of the CIVILIAN firearms from the LATE 1800s, and what they cost, ask your library to find you a copy of the 1896 Sears catalogue. That, and the 1902 catalogue, have been reprinted as a hardbacked book. Fun reading, and a good selection of rifles, shotguns and pistols- along with ammo. Delivered to your door.

Does a stargate really exist?

Two views expressed. Please read both. There are stargates on this planet. We did not make them. They were made by other beings. The U.S. and Canadian Governments have worked together to dismiss claims that stargates, a.k.a. wormhole teleportation devices, exist. Many are familiar with a movie called Stargate and the TV series Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. These shows were created to make us believe that this is all science fiction and that Roswell aliens never existed. They even made a parody of the coverup with episodes featuring a t.v. show called Wormhole Extreme to make it seem even more ridiculous to believe in Stargates.Stephen Hawking said they were real so I'll believe him over any government officials.-----I suppose some people live their life in a world of fiction. The Stargate Show is great for relaxation but in real life we have nothing what so ever to prove that stargates actually exist. It would be nice, and it certainly helps the motion and timespan of a film with instant travels, however it is only a fiction with somewhat plausible facts. If this and that exists, then we could do this and that. There is no power we know of that is able to actually do anything with a gravitational field or force.a gravitational field/force is what a wormhole is all about. With todays technology we do not know what actually causes gravity. All we know is that greater mass causes greater gravity. We have no means of manipulating gravity except in moving mass from one place to another. What we do know is that gravity is everywhere, and we can not manipulate it by electric currents or magnetic fields.^ the above paragraph is now moot with the data seen from experiments at the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland. read up on that particle accelerator and dark matter discovery.
