Acording to tradition ,the Shawnee did not live in longhouses. They lived in single family homes. The summer home was called wigwam (wigiwa) a rectangular shape with an arched roof. The winter house was a small circular structure with a frame of tree poles covered with tree bark or animal skins. It had a domed roof. Later,a log cabin became the winter home. see my book-WHITE BUFFALO SPIRIT,CONTACT ME AT white4wing@mail.com.
