Either Ponyboy and/or Darry. Ponyboy is smart and can get out of the environment that he is in if he chooses to and he will if his brothers have any say in that.
Darry is the same way, but since he has to and wants to care for his brothers he is stuck for the time being. Once his brothers are of age and can take care of themselves then he could do it. Also if the Curtis parents were still alive then there would have no doubt that Darry could have gotten out.
