Nadir shah, gazni and gori raids proved this to them. 2) at that time there were constant raids and attack from powerful changez khan army on their kingdoms ( which were stretching from now Uzbekistan, afghan, etc). So, they were pushed south and south west in search of new land... I.e India peaceful and away from changez pressure.
