Who currently has more games sold ps3 or xbox 360?

Comment Back when this question was answered it mattered a little which system had more games, but not as much as when the number of PS3 games was even lower. Now both systems have so many games that few even consider purchasing any of the Games that were out when this question was answered. They have had more release announcements in 2010 already than the number of games when this question was answered. Even a large buyer of games purchases only a percent or two of all the games for a console that has been released.

PS3 has 1,109 games ranked in Gamespot in May 2010 and Nintendo WII has 2249, Xbox 360 has 2356, PS2 has 3764, and the PC has 13,190. All consoles now have way more games than back when it mattered because the consoles were new and there were so few games to choose from.

PS3 has 1,309 games ranked in Gamespot in September 2010 and Nintendo Wii has 2437, Xbox 360 has 2839, PS2 has 3795, and the PC has 13625.

There are no valid statistics on total Games sales for the consoles. How would you count a used game that was resold on Ebay and would you count a game as sold when it was given away to a friend. What about downloads, and the new Black Ops add on cost a much as the older games in new condition. Those are just a quick list of some of the problems in coming up with a count. Neither console would be in the top positions for most games sold from a list of all consoles and portables

Both PS3 and Xbox 360 have about the same number of worldwide players using the consoles both offline and online. While Xbox 360 has sold more consoles than the PS3 it is unclear who has the most still in service and the statistics are not available. Xbox 360 have more consoles sold and being used in the USA because 40% are sold in the USA. The PS3 is the most used in the rest of the world. The PS3 (66 million) and Xbox 360 (67 million) both have total sales over 65 million.

PS3 has the most online players simply because the network is free.

The number of PS3 and Xbox 360 console purchased is within a couple of million and both are over 65 million. PSP, PS3, PSP Go, and PS Vita can all join the Playstation Network and play online while you have to pay to join Live Gold and play online. There is no question that the Playstation Network has more members worldwide.

Xbox 360 by a long shot, it has better graphics and most of the games are better.

PS3 works with a Portable PSP or PS Vita and the Xbox 360 does not have a portable for when your away.
