The Akatsuki (Meaning Dawn or Daybreak) is a criminal organization of no more than 10 S-Rank missing-ninja. Akatsuki members commonly work in teams of two. Madara Uchiha "started a war to bring peace." Now that Madara Uchiha and Zetsu are the only members alive, Madara's goal is to fuse all the Tailed Beasts back together to form the Ten-Tailed Beast. Then, he will become the Ten-Tailed Beast's jinchūriki and use its power to project his Tsukuyomi on the moon. This is the "Infinite Tsukuyomi." Once this is achieved, this allows Madara to control every living being to create a world where there is "peace" through world domination. This "Eye of The Moon Plan" is the reason for the "Fourth Great Shinobi World War." The Five Kages and the Land of Iron are currently working together to stop Madara Uchiha. Madara currently has 7 of the 9 Tailed Beasts sealed.
