Do the opposite of what he did.
DARRY doesn't die in the book... But if you meant DALLY, he lost control of himself when Johnny died (because that was the only person he loved) and robbed a store. The cops chased him to the park, and when he pulled out his unloaded gun the police shot him. RIP Dally and Johnny.
Yes I think so because he did not want to suffer about what happened to johnny because johnny was the only person dally had as a family member.
The characters LOVED Johnny in the book, The Outsiders. Ponyboy said Johnny reminded him of an abused, lost puppy. The gang considered Johnny their pet, and gave him the nickname "Johnnycake". He also was the only thing Dally Winston(I think that's his last name) loved.
Johnny dying was difficult to Dally because johnny was the only thing Dally loved beside himself .. so after Johnny died Dally wanted too.
Dally finally snapped in "The Outsiders" because (spoiler alert) Johnny had died and Johnny was the only thing that Dally actually loved.
Do the opposite of what he did.
1 problem dally goes through is, when johnny cade dies he robbed a store and basically committed suicide and realized that johnny was the only thing he ever loved

Because Johnny was the only thing he loved.
Grim triumph is what Dally shows as an expression towards Johnny's death. The only thing Dally loved was Johnny. He always protected him, epecially when Johnny had killed Bob, and He risked his life to help Johnny. That is why Johnny's death created the unhapiness of Dally.
Johny dies in the hospital, and Dally dies getting shot by the police. Johny dies in the hospital, and Dally dies getting shot by the police.
Dally robbed a store to get the police after him then he ran to the lot and pulled out a gun. This forced the police to shoot him, so he basically killed himself with the help of others. He did this because Johnny had died and Johnny was the only person he had ever loved so he thought there was no point in living if he was dead.
There was no set answer to this in the book. One can infer that it was to keep up the entire tough guy act that he did and to protect the ones he loved.
