Courtney in Pretty Little Liars is supposedly Alison's twin sister. And if you wanted to know it's not Alison that is dead it's Courtney they decided to switch and see what it was like to be each other and then I'm not sure how but it was Courtney who died when she was in Alison's place. Alison is still alive and is in a mental hospital.

∙ 12y agoNo, Courtney and Alison switched places because Courtney wanted to be Alison for a day to get out of the mental home she was in because Courtney never came back to get Alison she broke out of the home and buried Courtney alive!

first off, Courtney, her twin was killed. not ali. an ali killed Courtney because she took over her life. Courtney was mentally ill and stayed in an asylum, however Courtney would always say shes ali when she wasnt. Courtney escaped and her parents couldn't tell who was who. so they sent ali instead of Courtney to the asylum. ali escaped and was mad at Courtney for obvious reasons and murdered her.
