As long as there have been people there have been wars. Wars are fought over access to resources, including land, cattle, minerals, slaves, markets, communication routes and defensible positions.
There have been wars in Africa for as long as history has been recorded. And there were presumably wars before history was recorded.

the only reason war starts is because one country wants to take over a country and they defend themselves. A2: I would disagree. War have started over wanting people in a country, so they invade a country. Wars have started over the treatment of specific people. Wars have started over resources/land that holds resources. World War 2 was started when the Allies declared war in defence of Poland and other small countries Hitler was attacking (granted it was in self defence for the fact Hitler was planning to attack them later). Wars start over simple border disputes, specifically in Africa. Wars have started over what began as a accidental firefight on the border. Wars have started in retaliation to attacks from a certain country (Pearl Harbor). Wars have started when people rebel (Civil Wars) or when people demand their own territory (notably Palestinian and Isreali conflict). Wars have started over religion (The Four Crusades).
