The main problem that Stanley faces in the holes book is that he is sent to camp green lake because he was blamed on stealing a pair of shoes that he finds out the boy who really stole the shoes is at camp green lake.
zero does not know anything he does not talk. he stole a famous shoe which he did not even know they were famous. then the police came and he quickly threw the shoes. when he cant do anything (he cant talk or read) he got a friend and talks to him only (zeros friend is called Stanley). when he stole those shoes he got sent to Camp Green Lake.
