Although Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Islandwas first introduced in magazine format, Stevenson added a poem to the book edition when it was first published. The poem is addressed: "To the Hesitating Purchaser." It suggests that if children of the day are too studious and too wise to be interested in pirate stories, then they should skip the book. If these types of stories still appeal, as they did in Stevenson's youth, then the 'hesitating purchaser' should buy the book.
Of course it isn't. But the historical facts, including the secret book are real. There is no treasure but many items and other things make up a great story. Also the caves that Ben and company enter to find Cibola are real, and so is the switch that openes the door. It just makes you wander if you go to the places in the movie and attempt to find such items that you actually might! There has been no proof that it doesnt exist, The knights of templar who are the ones who supposely owned the teasure where taken down by the pope and king of France i believe and just before they were taken down it was told that they put all there wealth on a ship to America, and our founding fathers found it and hid it. Christopher Columbus was part of the knights of templar also. So history says it is possible but we don't know for sure
Yes, she did - she told everyone last week while on the air
well after zero and Stanley go to find refuge on gods thumb, they break the curse that madam zeroni had put on the yelnats family, so when they went to find the treasure of coarse zero read what the name was and shocked the warden, also saving Stanley from getting accused from what he didnt do again... so in the end zero is a hero because he broke the curse and got Stanley his treasure!
I'm sure if someone told you where treasure was everyone that looked at the question would then know where the treasure is.
He was missing his leg like Bones had told Jim.
Robert Louis Stevenson. I was told it was based on the island he is buried in. Robert Louis Stevenson wrote treasure island a very skillful and talented writer and author from the late 1800's abd early 1900's.
Beowulf told Wiglaf to go and bring him the dragons "treasure", this is for an unselfish reason, he wanted to give thanks to God that he would have that treasure for his people, he would feel better knowing that his people will still has prosperity after his death
Felix had a brief post-Rascals Band that put out one album. The name of the group was "Treasure" and the song was also called "Treasure". The album was put out in 1977. The tracks are: I Wanna Love You, Innocent Eyes, Love Me Tonight, Jubilation, When The Sun Shines, My Lady Once Told Me, Turn Yourself Around, Think It´s Love & Treasure. Musicians on the Treasure album: Felix Cavaliere, Vinnie Cusano, Jack Scarangella and others. This is a great album, it never attained commercial success, however.
When Ralph told the assembly of boys that they were on an island, "like in a book" various boys called out.. "Like Treasure Island, Swallows and Amazons, The Coral Island." As Swallows and Amazons doesn't take place on a tropical island the other two were much more apt.
National Treasure is about the Templar Treasure (not real as we know of). Thomas Gates (Ben'sancestor was told by Charles Carroll (a real signer of the Declaration of Independence) a clue about the very popular not yet found big templar treasure. The clue gets passed down from Ben's descendent's. He learns about it as a little kid, and aspires to find it through out his life. But someone tries to stop Ben and his friends Riley and Abigail from finding the treasure first. I would give this movie 4 -5 stars. It is educational, fun, adventurous sweet, and not boring. I love the use of real history (for example, Charles Carroll passes down the clue instead of some random dude) to make the treasure seem real. If you like adventure history, and treasure, you should see this movie. Also if you like Indianana Jones you will love this movie.
The point of view in "The Treasure of Lemon Brown" is third person limited. The story is told from the perspective of the protagonist, Greg, allowing readers to understand his thoughts and feelings, but not those of other characters.

The Thrill of the Chase poem by Forrest Fenn is believed to contain clues that lead to the location of a hidden treasure chest filled with gold and other valuable items. Fenn has stated that solving the poem will guide searchers to the treasure's location, sparking a real-life treasure hunt that has captured the imagination of many.
Bard told Thorin that Thorin must give Bard a portion of the treasure to rebuild Esgaroth, or he would be considered the foe of the lake-town.
It allows the North, South, East and West winds to escape from the bag and cause a huge storm which blowsOdysseus off course and so continues the story. The men opened it because they thought it contained treasure. Odysseus told them not to open it but not why so they disobeyed him because they wanted to share out what they thought was treasure which he was keeping for himself.
