Mr Gustave J. Lesueur, 35, not married, boarded the Titanic at Cherbourg as manservant to Mr Thomas Cardeza. He travelled on the Cardeza's ticket (No. PC 17755). He occupied room B-101.
The woman who was MARRIED to the richest man was, by far, Madeleine Astor but the richest woman that WAS MARRIED was, without a doubt, Charlotte Cardeza. She occupied the most expensive stateroom on the ship and filed the highest claim of any passenger for the lost contents of her 14 trunks, 4 suitcases, and 3 crates of baggage.
There were several new laws put in place in response to the Titanic disaster. All ships with more than fifty passengers were required to have enough lifeboats for all passengers, searchlights and binoculars, and to conduct regular emergency drills. A special radio channel was created specifically for ships (before Titanic it was a free-for-all), and 24-hour radio watches became mandatory. An international ice patrol was created to monitor and report the location of icebergs, and all ships were required to take a more southerly route through the North Atlantic.
By coincidence there might have been someone named Cal Hockley, but James Cameron's characters name actually comes from the two counties his grandparents lived which was Caledon and Hockley Valley!
The total number of people on board the Titanic (passengers and crew) was 2,222. The total number of survivors (passengers and crew) on the Titanic that survived was 706. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Click on the link below for the answer.

Titanic was the first ship to have a swimming pool. The most luxurious thing on the ship was the Grand Staircase. The first-class dining saloon, located on D-deck, was designed in Jacobean-style. 500 people can dine in this very big dining saloon. There was a smoking room for the gentlemen and writing and reading room for the ladies. There were three elevators in first-class and one in second-class. Titanic's first-class cabins are also elegant. Each cabin was different. I think there were three so-called Millionaire's Suites. These suites contained a private promenade deck and private sitting and dressing room. One of these suites was occupied by Mrs. Charlotte Cardeza and her son.
