Richard Bedford Bennett was the Prime Minister of Canada in 1931.

Bennett was the 11th Prime Minister of Canada from 1930 August 7 to 1935 October 23. In the election for Canada's 17th Parliament, held on July 28, 1930, Mackenzie King's government was defeated by Richard Bedford Bennett's Conservatives.

Bennett lost the election of October 14, 1935, and resigned on October 23, 1935. Mackenzie King was sworn in as Prime Minister the same day and served until November 15, 1948.
