No screen credit was given to anyone. Could the legs have been on the order of the door leg stoppers that are sold on Amazon? Some have suggested that the legs belonged to Margaret Hamilton [December 9, 1922-May 16, 1985], who was credited with playing Almira Gulch, and the Wicked Witch of the West. But surely she would have been credited for that role also.

Margaret Hamilton (1902-1985) played the Wicked Witch of the West in the original film adaptation of L. Frank Baum's "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". Her character was the nemesis of Dorothy Gale, played by Judy Garland in the well-loved 1939 movie.

Margaret Hamilton (December 9, 1902 - May 16, 1985) played the wicked witch in "The Wizard of Oz."

Specifically, the character actress was not the first choice for the role. MGM Studios debated whether to have the witch be dangerously beautiful and glamorous or conventionally ugly and unpleasant. They considered Gale Sondergaard (February 15, 1898 - August 14, 1985) for the former portrayal, but Gale withdrew when MGM settled on the latter characterization. Nobody actually played that role, as the only part of her ever seen in the movie is her feet, under Dorothy's house.
