The Greek leader Agamemnon, according to myth, either he or his troops slaughtered a hare, and then Agamemnon boasted that he was better with an arrow than the goddess Artemis herself. Offended, Artemis demanded that Agamemnon's first born child be sacrificed to her, otherwise the winds would not blow favorably for the Greek fleet and they would not be able to get to Troy to lay siege to the city. So, he sent word to his daughter, Iphigenia, and told her that she was to be married to Achilles. She came and was sacrificed.

Some stories say Orion was a hunting companion of Artemis, and she admired his skill and loved him, others say that he was a great hunter and sought out Artemis and tried to rape her - and still others say that they were hunting companions and he boasted that there was not a beast on earth he could not kill, and Gaia took offense of this. In the end Orion dies, there are a few doubts to who killed him and why, however. Slain by Artemis in wrath, is the most commonly known. Orion slain by Gaia, turned into a constellation by Artemis. Orion slain through a trick of Apollon, turned into a constellation by Artemis.

What is the name of daughter if Tantalus whose children were slain by Artemis and Apollo with poisoned arrow?

The daughter's name is Niobe. She boasts to Leto that she is more blessed because she has more children than her. In some versions, Niobe pokes fun that Artemis dresses like a man. Outraged Leto sends her children, Artemis and Apollo, to attack Niobe's children. Artemis kills Niobe's daughters and Apollo kills Niobe's sons. In most accounts, all of the children die except for one or two. Niobe, sadden, travels to the top of a mountain and cries until she turns into a stone with her tears flowing as rivers.
