It's hard to say why Tim Horton's became so entwined with Canadian heritage. This has been written about quite a bit over the years. Even a sociology paper was done on Tim Horton's. It's a combinatino of being a home grown chain, good low key advertising, support for the military and hockey. Face it, it isn't spring in Canada until you hear the "RRRRoll up the RRRim to win" ads.
