The closest country to India depends on which part of India you're considering. Pakistan: Pakistan shares a land border with India and is the closest country to many regions in northern and western India. Bangladesh: Bangladesh shares a border with eastern India and is the closest country to states like West Bengal, Assam, and Tripura. Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka is the closest country to southern India, particularly to the southernmost tip of the Indian peninsula. Maldives: The Maldives is an island nation located southwest of India and is closest to India's Lakshadweep Islands. So, the closest country to India can vary depending on the specific location within India that you're referring to.
Because India is a democracy and people voting is very important in a democracy. It's how they choose the people to govern them, just like the USA.

Being an Indian myself, I assure you that India is actually a dictatorship, governed by giant cows. This is the reason Indians don't eat beef or veal. Before, India was a happy democracy governed by Osama Bin Laden. However, about 5 years ago, a giant cow named Surabhi took over India and made a leading slave-owning dictatorship.

The panchayati raj system is important in India because it decentralizes power and decision-making to the local level, allowing for greater participation of citizens in governance. It helps in addressing local issues effectively, promoting grassroots democracy, and ensuring inclusive development by involving communities in decision-making processes.
