Because Mace Windu was about to kill Palpatine who was just revealed to be the Sith Lord the Jedi were searching tooth and nail to destroy, but Anakin was tricked into thinking Palpatine would be the answer to save his secret wife Padme Amidala's life
Anakin was preventing Mace Windu from killing Chancellor Palpatine, who was secretly the Sith Lord Darth Sidius.
Here is what happened... Anakin had delivered the horrifiying truth that Chancellor Palpatine was a Sith Lord. Mace Windu and other Jedi go to arrest the new Sith. Anakin then realizes that if he lost Palpatine, his hopes to save his wife Padme would be lost. He then goes to the Chancellor's quarters and sees Mace Windu ready to finish Palpatine off. Anakin then activates his lightsaber and cuts Windu's arm off. Palpatine then shocks Windu with force lightning and throws Windu out the window leading him to his death. I think he died that way, but they say George Lucas will make episodes 7, 8, and 9. It also says that Mace Windu will actually die then.

Wolverine because he can chop and anacoda in half with a twitch of his hand.
If you meant for the first time, well we see Anakin's mechanical hand for the first time at the ending of "Attack of the Clones". And Luke received his hand at the end of "The Empire Strikes Back."
Palpatine kills all the Jedi except Mace Windu. Palpatine tries to strike Mace with Force Lightning but Mace deflects it back to Palpatine. Then, Mace nearly kills Palpatine but Anakin stops the death blow by slicing Mace's hand (which held his lightsaber). Doing this then allowed Palpatine to shoot Force Lightning to Mace, eventually throwing him out the window and presumably to his death. Anakin's action and allegiance to Palpatine/Darth Sidius completes his journey to the Dark Side.
yes he did. because mace windu was about to kill palptine and palptine is anikins best friend so he cut mace windu hand off and turned to the dark side.

With your hand.
In Star Wars 3 Anakin and Obi-Wan fought throught Mustafar's lava factory. Near the end of the fight they were fighting on a floating platform. Obi-Wan jumped to high ground. Obi-Wan knew Anakin could not get to Obi-Wan without getting hurt, but Anakin jumped beleiving he could make it. During Anakin's flip over Ob-Wan Obi-Wan chopped Anakin's legs and remaining human hand. Without his hands and legs, Anakin was sliding down to the lava stream where the lava made contact with Anakin's clothes and burned him alive. Obi-Wan took Anakin's lightsaber (which Anakin dropped when Obi-Wan chopped Anakin's legs and hand) and left him there.
Change of Operational Control. Short hand is to CHOP.
Hold a pork chop or a cooked pork chop in your hand and right-click them. Or it, depending on if there are more.
The sword can swing stab and slash and is more unpredictable on the other hand the mace can only swing and due to the giant ball it is very predictable
