In the musical, she didn't avoid Fiyero much.

In the book, she tried to avoid Fiyero simply because she was dangerous to be around and didn't want anyone in danger, as well as the fact that Elphaba Thropp had been MIA for some time and wanted to keep it that way.

Who does Elphaba love in wicked?

No, Elphaba wasn't in love with the Wizard. She took advantage of an opportunity to spend some time away from Shiz University. Once in the Emerald City, she became aware of unlikeable aspects of the Wizard's personality. For example, he had her give caged monkeys the ability to fly. Elphaba learned after her spell worked that the Wizard was planning to use them as spies. In contrast, Elphaba was a passionate advocate of animal rights and well-being.

What is the solution to wicked by Gregory mcguire?

Well the whole plot is different and many of the questions the reader has are left unanswered. The biggest differences between the musical and the book are that - Elphaba could have died there was no proof she lived. - Galinda and Elphaba never make up, the last scene with them is just heart wrenching. -Fiyero is not the scarecrow she just hopes he is. -Elphaba has a son named Liir. -The love triangle between Elphaba and Fiyero never really exists it is between Fiyero's wife and Elphaba ( Fiyero's wife and most of their children die except one ) There is a lot more but that is most of it. Sorry of you didn't want it compared to the musical. All in all Maguire has a much darker ending.

Is the wizard Elphaba's or Glinda's father in the musical Wicked?

No one is Elphaba Thropp's husband in either the book or the stage versions of 'Wicked'. She's in love with Prince Fiyero. In the original book version by Gregory Maguire [b. June 9, 1954], Fiyero is married unhappily to Sarima. But in the musical, he isn't married.

In the book Witch by Gregory Maguire did Elphaba kill Yifero?

Well, actually, I think you are a little mixed up. A better way of phrasing that question would be this: In the book Wickedby Gregory Maguire, did Elphaba kill Fiyero? Elphaba didn't kill Fiyero, but he did die because of her. It's a fine line. Elphaba is on a mission. Fiyero finds out about the mission and she beggs him not to. Fiyero is killed in the cross fire. While Elphaba didn't kill Fiyero she blamed herself for his death until the day that she died.

What happens to fiyero in wicked?

Okay... So lets start from act 2. Fiyero is now a gaurd for Oz and has just helped Elphaba escape, to protect her because he loves her and not glinda. The other gaurds that were trying to kill her take Fiyero to a field and "demand to tell them where the witch went". Knowing that Fiyero will die Elphaba casts a spell in "no good deed" hoping to save him. She thinks that the spell did not work, but at the end of the musical, we see Fiyero survived and has become the scarecrow.

What happens to Elphaba and Fiyero in 'Wicked'?

In the book version of 'Wicked', Elphaba and Fiyero die. Fiyero is killed. Elphaba Thropp, who also is called the Wicked Witch of the West, also dies. But the book includes the information that a witch never dies a true death. Elphaba is a witch, and therefore she will be back.In the musical version of 'Wicked', Elphaba and Figyero only appear to die. Fiyero is changed into a Scarecrow and therefore survives the torture of the Wizard of Oz's guards. Everyone is led to believe that water destroys Elphaba. So Dorothy Gale throws water on Elphaba, who appears to melt. Elphaba actually makes a successful escape through a trap door. She and Fiyero then leave the lands of Oz, for a fresh start elsewhere.

What does the letter that Fiyero gives to Elphaba Thropp say in 'Wicked'?

That he lives because of her spell, that it is better for others not to know of his survival and that he has plans for the two of them are what Fiyero's letter says to Elphaba in "Wicked."Specifically, the letter is an incident in the musical version, not the original book edition, of "Wicked." It is a prop whose contents are not read word for word onstage. The audience gets the gist of the contents through Elphaba reading it to herself and summarizing its contents out loud.

What actions did Elphaba Thropp try to stop the antagonist from carrying out in 'Wicked'?

Persecution of animals, Fiyero andOzites are the actions that Elphaba Thropp tries to stop the antagonist from carrying out in "Wicked."Specifically, the antagonist is the Wizard of Oz, whose accomplice is Madame Morrible, Shiz University headmistress. The Wizard expresses antagonism particularly against animals in general, animals that think and speak in particular and Ozites who dare to consider disobedience an option. Additionally, the Wizard becomes antagonistic to Fiyero, who tries to help Elphaba in her fight for animal welfare in the animal-oppressed lands of Oz.
