She thought he was shollow and self centered
In the musical, she didn't avoid Fiyero much. In the book, she tried to avoid Fiyero simply because she was dangerous to be around and didn't want anyone in danger, as well as the fact that Elphaba Thropp had been MIA for some time and wanted to keep it that way.
Define "dumb". If you are meaning to ask if Fiyero is "dumb" in the book, then the answer is no. He is actually quite smart but would rather be a party going lover boy than to try and live up to his Princely status and smarts. Also, in the musical, Fiyero arrives in Shiz, and seems immediately dumb. In fact, he is just rather disinterested, although he is actually rather smart.
Persecution of animals, Fiyero andOzites are the actions that Elphaba Thropp tries to stop the antagonist from carrying out in "Wicked."Specifically, the antagonist is the Wizard of Oz, whose accomplice is Madame Morrible, Shiz University headmistress. The Wizard expresses antagonism particularly against animals in general, animals that think and speak in particular and Ozites who dare to consider disobedience an option. Additionally, the Wizard becomes antagonistic to Fiyero, who tries to help Elphaba in her fight for animal welfare in the animal-oppressed lands of Oz.

Stay away...have no contact...move to Tibet. Stay away, try not to think about them, find the second cutest guy and go for him.
The musical Wicked is based upon a novel of the same name, which might be described as a revisionist history of the land of Oz. It shows that while the movie we all know and love has depicted the Wicked Witch of the West as the villain of the story, it was really the Wizard of Oz who was the villain, and the supposedly Wicked Witch of the West who was the heroine, much misunderstood. On the whole, it is a rather dark story, no longer a lighthearted tale for children.
