a plant needs photosynthesis to grow.and to do the photosynthesis process it needs sunlight and in winter there is not much sunlight..this is how plants get food ..i think that's the reason..hope this helped.. :)

Close, but not close enough. Below is a more "scientific" answer.

The temperature during the summer is warmer, and therefore much more suitable for the grass to grow than during the winter.

During the winter, temperatures drop to 32 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the freezing point of water, or even lower than that. With the water in the blades of grass frozen, the grass cannot get the nutrients it requires to thrive, and thus dies.

Why do dead organisms decay quicker in the summer?

Dead organisms decay quicker in the summer due to the warmer temperatures. Higher temperatures increase microbial activity, which accelerates the decomposition process. Additionally, increased humidity in summer provides favorable conditions for the growth of decomposers.

Why do leaves decay quicker in summer?

The temperature is higher, meaning that the decomposers can decay at faster rates. Their enzymes can work at a faster rate to decompose the detritus. To low a temp. and the rate of enzymes will slow down too much but too hot and the decomposers will be killed.

How is bacteria used in making mushroom?

it is used in making mushroom by making a wood decay because the faster it decay the faster mushroom will grow :)))

Does decay happen faster in dry or humid weather?

Decay happens at a faster rate in humid weather. Humidity is caused by excess moisture in the air. Water is notorious for decomposing organic materials faster.

Will the daughter atoms decay faster than a parent atom?

Not necessarily. Each nuclide has its own half-life in the chain, with some steps slower, and some steps faster.

Why do wet foods decay faster than dry foods?

What is the mnemonic for remembering the seasons in order?

In order to remember the order of the seasons it is best to understand why we have seasons and when they occur. Spring Equinox 21st March: Summer Solstice 21st June Autumn Equinox 21-23rd September Winter Solstice 21st December Therefore the best mnemonics practice would be to associate a season to what occurs in nature and the cycle of renewal. Spring - Birth: Renewal of plants Summer - Life: Plants are fully bloomed (photosynthesis) Autumn - Decay: Leaves start to decay Winter - Death: Less sun means no leaves If you are teaching children a good way is to also use the clock face as a metaphor using their arms. Spring - 9PM Summer - 12PM Autumn - 3PM Winter - 6PM

What would make food decay happen faster?

Certain factors do help food decay faster. Generally, it is natural environments. When food is packed tightly in landfills, it does not decay at a regular pace. When exposed to air, bacteria, sunlight, and water, however, the food particles will begin to break down faster. Also, animals or insects will come and eat the food away, too.
