Because there is too much wildlife living in the amazon river, and if we were to build a bridge, A) it would take a really long time, and that would disrupt the wildlife in the river, and B) it wouldn't really do much good because not very many people cross the river on a daily basis. +++ :-) Bridges are built only where necessary to serve roads or railways themselves only built where necessary and practicable!
