Yes it`s ok. For a window unit outside temp does not matter. Thermostat operates according to the indoor heat load.

What is the difference between double-sided Gondola shelving Starter Units and Gondola shelving Add-On Units?

The starter unit is a complete standalone section of gondola that contains both end uprights. The add-on unit only contains 1 additional upright.

Why is it 80 degrees in your house but it is set on 73 degrees?

Most likely, the outside temp is very high. Heatpumps sometimes are not good at making the inside temp much more than about 20 degrees cooler than outside temp, especially some older units. If you have a newer unit and good insulation, then you may have a bad (or inaccurate) thermostat. Make sure that the unit is blowing cool air, otherwise, call a professional.

What is the difference between first and second unit shots in movies?

The first unit is the main filming crew, which works with the lead actors and is directly controlled by the director. The second unit is typically smaller and films shots which do not involve the lead actors, such as establishing shots, stunt double shots, etc. Basically, all the little shots which don't require the direct involvement of the director. The second unit will have its own director, who reports to the movie's director.

Can I put stained glass windows on French doors?

If your French doors are single glazed there is no reason why the glass cannot be replaced by stained glass. This you can do yourself or a carpenter could probably do it for you. However, if your French doors are double glazed, you cannot replace one side of the glass yourself. In order to have stained glass in double glazed French doors it would be necessary to buy new French doors with the stained glass already in place, or purchase the stained glass double glazed glass unit and either fit it yourself or have a tradesman do it for you.

Window rods for the inside of window?

I presume you are talking about Georgian Bar, a pattern of fixed bars between two panes of glass in a double glazed window unit.

How do i replace the inside window in a double glazed window?

Basically you can't - you have to replace the whole double-glazing unit. Double glazing has an inert gas injected between the panes during manufacture - which aids the sound insulation properties of the unit. Once one pain is cracked - that gas escapes and is replaced by air - which is not a good sound insulator.

How can you open the oven door to clean the inside of the glass?

Glass oven doors are commonly double-glazed to keep the efficiency of the oven. Otherwise, the heat would leak out. These are sealed units, and there should be no need to clean the inside of the double-glazed unit. As for char etc baked on to the inner surface of the unit, normal domestic cleaners should prove adequate. But beware of any treatment that would scour or mark the glass surface. As this could cause failure of the glass, which is usually tempered glass.

How do you remove condensation from double glazed windows?

Misting or Fogging in old sealed units in double glazed windows is a common problem and most often occurs after the guarentee on the units has passed! Misty or Foggy windows can make a room look awful but repairing or replacing the sealed units is no longer a big problem. The panes of glass used in double glazed windows are called sealed units. The panes are kept apart by a spacer bar which contains hundreds of tiny silica balls. These same balls can be found in the little bag you receive when buying electrical goods and also in the trays bought from DIY stores which are placed on window cills to prevent condensation. It is these balls which soak up any moisture which exists in the air between the two panes of glass. Once the silica becomes saturated the moisture in the air will begin to mist, or fog up your double glazing. This should not happen for at least 5 years from the date of installation and you should have a receipt from your double glazing company to guard against sealed units "breaking down". Most companies offer a 10 year guarantee. The condensation and misting is a natural process in an old sealed unit and if it is past the sell by date, is nobodies fault. If the unit breaks down prior to the guarantee running out then the sealed unit should be replaced by the supplier. It is now possible to rectify a broken down sealed unit. A small hole is drilled in the glass (can be done from outside in most cases) and a tiny vent installed. This job requires specialist equipment and is not a DIY task. It is certainly worth finding out about in your area as most of the repair companies state that up to 50% can be saved on the cost of a replacement sealed unit. Removing a sealed unit is done by inserting a sharp scraper, or chisel, into the joint between the glazing bead and the frame and twisting while keeping the pressure on. The bead will clip out. Make sure you have the correct spacers in the frame when you put the new unit back. You can't, the fact that there is condensation between the panes means that the seals have failed (or the glass cracked) letting humid air in which replaced the dry air it was filled with at the factory.Unfortunately the only way to solve this is to have each failed double glazing unit replaced with a new one. If you have more than a couple or you live in an older house that required custom made units due to having nonstandard window frames this can get expensive.
