Ponyboy is different from the other Greasers, he loves literature and enjoys watching movies. Sometimes Ponyboy doesn't think (to the dismay of Darry).I came up with these character traits:Loyal (he's always loyal to the Greasers)Bright (loves to read)Affable (all the Greasers confide in Ponyboy and think he's easy to talk to).
Why is Ponyboy afraid of some of the other greasers at the rumble?
Ponyboy needed to be at the rumble to show his solidarity with his fellow greasers. The greasers stood together as brothers against the society that looked down upon them much as low income youngsters do today. It was important that he participated in the fight to prove his loyalty.

Ponyboy is unlike most greasers. He likes to read, watch movies and he has never got into trouble by the Police. He has good grades and is the youngest of all greasers.

the greasers and the socs end up getting into a fight because the socs think the greaser boys ( Ponyboy , Dally and Johnny ] try to get with Cherry and Marcia ( the socs girls ] .
