Why does Bella get in trouble at the end of new moon?

She gets into trouble because she's grounded for leaving home to go to Italy without calling or notice. Her father doesn't know that she went all the way to Italy though. She accidently tells him she cliff dived. Jacob gets mad at her for going to Italy and thinks she'll be spending all her time with Edward now so to get her grounded he tells her dad that she rode motorcyles after her dad told her not to. He didn't know she was already grounded though so he appologizes. He also yells at her because he calls her to come inside but she's trying to stop Edward and Jacob from fighting. Hope that helps.
