Because it's an incongruous relationship in the 'Theatre of the absurd'. Kermit is very cute, very appealing. But of course he is not a frog ! It's a Puppet (Acknowledgement to Brian Conley) Nonetheless the emotions going on are very touching, and I remember her having a thing for Michael parkinson, the talkshow host.
He likes kermit because he's his famousist muppet
Yes He Does.
On The Muppet Show, Robin was a frog, just like his uncle, Kermit The Frog.
Jim Henson created "The Muppets" in the 1950s and began with what became his signature character, Kermit the Frog. Over time "The Muppets" became a very renowned household name. Many fans love the fact that Kermit the Frog has a love/hate relationship with a pig named Miss Piggy.
The birthplace of Kermit the Frog would best be described as Greenville, Mississippi. Jim Henson was born in Greenville on September 24th, 1936. His most famous creation of all came from his imagination, Kermit the Frog. Kermit continues to be a television and movie icon even after Henson's death.
The only Frog I can think of as a cartoon character or a puppet on kid-vid would have to be Kermit the Frog from Sesame Street. the durable Muppet was originally not a true frog but a ( Frog-like creature). The name Kermit is of Germanic origin and refers to the Spring. there was a KermesFest or Spring Fair in Leipzig, Germany inthe old days. Kermit was one of the sons of Theodore Roosevelt, not to get political, certainly an outdoorsman type.
Originally, there was one character, Kermit. The name derives from a son of Theodore Roosevelt! originally, he was not a true frog but was billed as a Frog-Like Creature- - later- when the Muppets were regular characters on Sesame street it was solidified ( hard thing to do with Puppets- who are soft-bodied)- as Kermit- The Frog. Some of the other characters such as Ernie and Bert were purposely derived for the Sesame Street program, it is debatable whether they are really (Muppets). I"m not sure about the Big Bird.
The lizard - like Kermit became Kermit the Frog shortly before Sesame Street aired in 1969 .
Muppets are better for a toddler first of all because the are puppets. The word is a combination of marionette and puppet. Kermit the frog and Miss Piggy are more funnier than character like Big Bird and Cookie Monster.
frog true kermit and jim henson's muppets have classic staying power they are immortal, shrek is just goofy and won't last 30 some years like the frog and Animal have
Kermit is a puppet. He can not be any type of frog.

That's a matter of opinion. But, logically Kermit the Frog because older people know him, kids do teens do, middle age people do, even dogs attack stuffed toys of him. I like Shakira but not as many people know about her like some kids. I hope this helps. :)

mine is still green. like kermit the frog.
A lizard or in his own words ( A frog-like creature) maybe Mr.Henson was aware of the Eryops- a prehistoric amphibian about the size of well, a large alligator but with frog-like features. Eryops- it does sound funny, too.
in a house full of flies and smells like eggs
