Because it's an incongruous relationship in the 'Theatre of the absurd'. Kermit is very cute, very appealing. But of course he is not a frog ! It's a Puppet (Acknowledgement to Brian Conley) Nonetheless the emotions going on are very touching, and I remember her having a thing for Michael parkinson, the talkshow host.
