Cells do not see the big picture. You, the consciousness embodied in the brain, do see the big picture, but you do not have a direct connection to what your body does at the cellular level. In order to grow into a hand, embryonic cells have complex chemical cues that tell them what they should be doing. As an adult, you do not have those cues. The cells in your wrist do not know that your hand is missing. The intelligence of a cell is extremely limited.

A lot of people cut off the gorilla's hand when it is dead. Because the gorilla has no use for it anymore. Then the person gets the amount of money that they want. The person who buys the monkeys hand is as cruel as the person who cut it off. I personally would never cut off the hand of a gorilla even if it was alive or dead.
Cut their hand OFF!

He was born with a deformed hand.
Yes. Chameleons can not regenerate any of their body parts and are different to other lizards who can. It is cruel to cut off an animals body part just to see if it will grow back.
No, a worm does not grow back two heads when the first is cut off. While some species of worms, like planarians, can regenerate lost body parts, they typically do not produce two heads. Instead, a flatworm may regenerate a single head, and the regeneration process is complex and depends on the species and the circumstances of the injury. In most cases, if a worm is cut in half, it may regenerate the missing segments, but with only one head.
