1) He does this for his cannibal family... They're not his real family but they saved his life by protecting him so he owes them and does everything they want him to do... Even when he doesn't want to kill, he can't deny it because he feels bad when he denies. Can be seen in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Beginning before Leatherface kills the biker guy.
2) In his chilhood, Leatherface was misunderstood by all the kids and teased everyday about his mental and physical problems. His childhood effected his killing desire a lot... Hope I helped:)
