it shows that Edward is overshadowing Jacob because Bella says she always thought of Jacob as her own personal sun and when she told him that at the end of eclipse he said "the clouds i can handle but i cant fight an eclipse" meaning he cant even compete with Edward
Depending on how you look at it, the red ribbon could mean many different things. It could symbolize her heart being so torn between Edward, and Jacob. And how bad she feels, being the cause of a huge war, and so many deaths. It could also symbolize the fact that she has made up her mind, that she is not going to be human much longer.
the ribbon is Bella. she is torn apart between Edward Cullen and Jacob Black. this what i think the cover of Eclipse is.

i think the ribbon represents Bella. the ribbon is torn just as she is torn over if she wants Edward or Jacob more.
I think the frayed ribbon represents Bella's heart. The frayed part is where she is torn between Jacob black on Edward Cullen. the shorter part - i believe - is Bella's friendship with Jacob and the longer part - might be - her love for Edward that has to be it
In Eclipse, Bella is trying to choose between Jacob and Edward, but she keeps holding on to both of them. Even in one part of the book Bella says that they are pulling her apart. The ribbon on the front is Bella, and she being torn in two.
The two main conflicts in Eclipse involve Bella being torn over her love for Jacob and Edward both, as well as a flood of deaths which is connected to the reappearance of Victoria.
It's torn and it represents the choice Bella has to make between Edward and Jacob. It also shows how Bella cannot let go of her human life completely.

In Eclipse, it is about Bella trying to decide between Edward or Jacob while Victoria is still furious with Bella for the killing of her mate, James. Victoria is so furious that she decides to create a very destructive newborn army of vampires which forces the werewolves and the vampire to team together until the Volturi arrive. In the end, Bella is still torn between Edward and Jacob. Then, Edward perposes to Bella, and she hesitates, and then agrees. Jacob threatens to kill himself, but, to calm him down, Bella kisses him and Jacob and Bella just remain as friends throughout the end and the last book, Breaking Dawn.

No, Jacob never got Bella pregnant. Bella had her baby with Edward Cullen, the vampire. Even though in New Moon, she loves Jacob, she marries Edward in the ending even though she was torn between the two. But, no, Jacob does not get Bella pregnant. Edward gets Bella pregnant, and they have a half-vampire, half-human baby, Renesmee Cullen, that almost kills Bella, which forces Edward to change Bella into a vampire.
No, Bella is forced to kiss Jacob. Although while she kisses him to save him she does consider and thinks that if she were normal she would be with him. --- And even she had 'cheated', I somehow doubt Edward would have seen it that way. A central conflict of Eclipse is that Edward is torn both between wanting Bella for himself and wanting Bella (in some part of his mind/heart) to choose Jacob, because he wants Bella's life to be normal, happy, and uncomplicated. Such a drama queen. Ha.
