First i have to tell you thata lions shouldn't actually be known as king of the jungle as they have the habitat of savannahs!
Secondly, they got their name from their almighty roar that they echo louder when standing on tall cliffs - a scene shown in Disney movie "The Lion King". It also shows in this film the lions as "king." In a savannah! King of the Savannah, see???????????????
Anyway, they are known as king for their almighty roar and also the SECOND MOST DANGEROUS PREDATOR IN THE SAVANNAHS. Theres another reason. Its the big bulky tiger that serves it's rights as king of the jungle!
