I wouldn't say "take over"

In the 17th century Dutch East India trading ships traveling to the Far East to trade needed a refreshment station at the halfway point between Holland and The East. The station provided the ships with fresh food and water.

They built farms but the weather at the cape wasn't great for certain crops so farms spread inland.

When the British took over the Cape the Boers (Dutch, German & French settlers) didn't want to be ruled by the British so they moved inland to remain independent.

Later the Boers discovered gold and diamonds which lead to the Boer Wars (The British wanted the gold)

FYI - Rabbit Proof Fence is a film about Australia not Africa

What is the South African bantu homeland?

A homeland is a place where the South Africans were forced when invaders came. They were in the inside of South Africa instead of the coast. ---- A homeland was an area within South Africa reserved for native Africans under the Apartheid policy of the South African government which was in government from about 1939 to 1993. It was in principle identical to the Reservations in the United States which are set aside for native Americans (American Indians). The areas were nominally self governing and land ownership was reserved for native Africans. This was done as a way of satisfying black demands for self government and preserving white control over the majority of the economically important areas of south Africa. Some homelands were granted independence from South Africa as separate states, but that independence was not recognised by any other country in the world and has now fallen away. In the end the homelands failed as a means of controlling black south africans. South Africa is now one country, under one government and homelands no longer exist. All that remains of it are large areas of tribal tenure land, where traditional land ownership and cultural practices are encouraged.

Why did the US stop trading with South Africa?

South Africans were under apartheid (note that apart is right in the word), which is a separation/segregation of blacks and Whites. The US did not like that, so we told them we will not trade with them until the apartheid is over.

Did Africans get sent to concentration camps in Nazi Germany?

I don't remember and really recordings of Hitler taking Africans from Africa and throwing them into concentration camps. If they were there they might of got thrown in because Hitler or Nazi's threw people into the camps if they were found to be impure. no he did not as Hitler and the Nazis use Africans as slaves and stayed in Africa ___ There were almost no Africans in the areas under Nazi control anyway.
