Like any other country, France has many different places to visit, things to do, and things to see. Whether it is worthwhile for you depends on your own circumstances and interests. Personally, I have fond memories of visiting France when I was a soldier stationed in Germany (and France was a half-day away by train). Now, on the other hand, it would not be worth it for me because I an on the other side of the Atlantic with no way to afford a plane ticket to Europe.

Nice enjoys a very pleasant weather, especially mild during wintertime. It is nudged between the south end of the French Alps and the Mediterranean Sea, and has a famous stretch of seaside road, la promenade des anglais (the English's stroll). The long, curvy pebble beach, the old town and its flower market, the relaxing atmosphere, the historical landmarks (some dating back to the Romans) make it a popular destination for French and foreigners alike.

France is the most visited country in the world, because of its rich history. Many towns have historical sectors with buildings centuries old, and impressive landmarks. There are also a lot of attraction for tourists, like the Disneyland resort near Paris. Fashion and shopping can add to the apeal of the famous parisian avenues. The countryside and provincial towns for those who want to discover the country more in depth, are often quiet and preserved from an excessive urbanization. Castles, rivers, lakes, ski resorts and many more offer a wide array of possibilities. Correct prices are another point to credit to the French.
