Disney movies are rated G because by the filmmakers because they are suitable enough for children to watch, as well as other people of different ages. This may also be because it has noviolence, nudity, profane language, or anything a child of a certain age shouldn't watch.

The "G" rating indicates that the movie is suitable for General audiences.

The "G" rating means it's considered more acceptable for young children to watch than a "PG" rating. Apparently, it was considered a perfectly appropriate movie for children.
