There is a script in development for THE PINK PANTHER 3, but until MGM finalizes plans for the franchise with another studio (Sony, Fox, Paramount, Lion's Gate) it remains stuck in development. Whether or not Steve Martin returns depends very much on the studio that decides to finance a future PINK PANTHER film as well as Mr. Martin's own willingness to return. A safe bet is a film timed to coincide with the character's 50th Anniversary as a relaunch for the franchise.
