After a brief web-search, I stumbled across a large document that lists many many
radio services all over India. The < Related Link > below will take you to it.
The lists there do include many broadcasts on frequencies that are in the US AM
and FM broadcast bands, so there's plenty for you to listen to over there on your
US radio.
Two comments, though:
-- If your US radio, or any other appliance you carry with you, plugs into the wall
outlet, then you need something to convert the 220 voltage from the Asian utility
to the 115 volts that US appliances are designed for. If you plug a US appliance
directly into an outlet in Bangalore, the appliance will cough, smoke, and die.
-- Your radio should not be the 'digital' kind, that selects regularly spaced channel
frequencies for you. Most of the frequencies on the All-India list, although they're
in the same bands, are not on the same channel frequencies as the US uses. Your
radio should be the old-fashioned kind, where you turn the dial slowly and carefully
until the station is clearly tuned in.
Sure. FM radio was around long before internet, and will most likely be with us quite a while longer.
There are many Pro FM Radio stations in a number of different countries, and there does not appear to be a single headquarters for Pro FM itself as it is a type of radio service. One of the most popular US Pro FM stations is 92 ProFM, which is located in East Providence, Rhode Island at 1502 Wompanoag Trail.
It means that the radio station transmits on a carrier frequency of 103.6 MHz,and that if the 'dial' on your FM radio is properly calibrated, then you'll receivethat station best when you adjust your radio to indicate '103.6'.By the way... no legal FM station will ever say that, at least not in the USA, becauseall licensed FM broadcast stations in the US transmit on carrier frequencies that havean odd number after the decimal point. They can be on 103.5 or 103.7, but neveron 103.6 .
-- On the FM radio dial, it's " 91.1 ". -- On the telephone, there's no way to tell without more information. There are 373 different radio stations licensed to operate on 91.1 MHz in different parts of the US, Canada, and Mexico. There's no way for us to know which one you're listening to, until you tell us the call letters, or at least the city you're in when you listen to it.
In the US, the commercial FM (broadcast) band nominally begins at 88 MHz. 87.9 was allocated, but only for some low-power "Class D" stations because it's virtually right on top of the aural carrier of the analog-TV Channel 6. The lowest carrier frequency normally assigned to an FM broadcast station in the US is 88.1 MHz.
Any AM radio you can buy in the US will play every AM radio station in the US, and any FM radio you can buy in the US will play every FM radio station in the US. You just have to be close enough to the station you want it to play.
87.7
Japan use 76 - 90 FM
An FM tuner can be a radio or some other devices. It allows you to tune in to FM radio stations which mostly play music. Today, online radio software are vastly used not only in the US but also in other countries for it allows you to tune in to over thousands of FM stations around the world.

One can tune into Sport FM radio from the United States. This station deals in sports news and live commentary and debate over the air waves. This station can be accessed from any state in the US.

Because in radio communication a signal is specified by its frequency, In AM the carrier frequency is fixed.. we cant limit or manipulate it as it will might switch us to another carrier in the atmosphere... manipulating however amplitude (as in FM) doesn't switch us to another channel... so remember in radio communication signal is specified by its frequency whether FM or AM..

You may be out of luck. In the US, FM radio stations are assigned the frequencies on the odd-tenths in the band 88 - 108 MHz. A radio designed for use exclusively in North America will have no provision for tuning to the even-tenths. You may need to replace the radio with one designed for service in Europe. Contact the manufacturers of the radio and the car, and give the model and serial numbers of the radio if possible. There may be a chance that there is an internal "fix" for European service, although we suspect that the manufacturers of American auto parts are quite provincial.
